Magicard Prima Printer Features
The Magicard Prima printer offers real edge-to-edge printing in exceptional
print quality on front- and backside of the card body in full colour density
(16,7 million colours). Due to the re-transfer technology, the Prima is
perfect to print on pre-loaded cards, like contact- and contactless chip
cards without any limitations at the card layout.
The Prima communicates through a fast SCSI 2 interface with the computer
system. The SCSI 2 driver supports a high-secure firmware controlled password
routine, plug-ins for inline chip encoding, special colour correction
tables and user-configurable print job functions. This high performance
driver supports up to 6 (six) printers simultaneously connected to one
computer system.
The card supply drawer holds up to 300 card in ISO thickness and can
be reloaded during printer operation. Optional available is an additional
card feeder drawer prepared for the use of thin (0,25 mm) card materials.
The print ribbon as well as the re-transfer film can easily be loaded
via colour -coded cassettes and has a capacity of 1,000 prints each.
To further improve the scratch resistance of the card surface, the "Patch
Re-Transfer Film" feature is available. These 0,15 mm patches are
slightly smaller than the card; therefore edgeless printing is not possible.
One roll of Patch Re-Transfer Film holds 500 patches.
Magicard Prima Unique Features:
A very special and unique feature is the Prima In-Line Lamination program.
These lamination modules allow for the lamination of either translucent
holograms as well as rugged polyester patches on both, the front side
and the backside of the card.
With this additional Laminating program, nearly all combinations of making
a card secure and protected against physical impacts are possible.
All Prima over lamination modules are designed for inline operation and
are prepared for combinations. As an option, an automatic card feeder
module for stand-alone operation is available.
